Lunar lander Laramie Rose on display at X-Prize Cup
Laramie Rose, the Lunar Lander built by SpeedUp and fueled by HTP from Peroxide Propulsion was not ready to compete in the Northrup Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge at the X Prize Cup taking place at Holloman Air Force Base, NM, the weekend of October 29 2007. Instead Laramie Rose was on display.
In fact only Armadillo Aerospace was ready to compete, and their Lunar Lander called MOD was very close to winning, but sadly enough it went up in flames during their fourth attempt to fly in accordance with the competition rules.
The competition will now remain open for one more year. Price money is 350 000 USD for the first level and 1 million USD for the second level.
